At the end of March this year, Russia has accumulated foreign investment in the 323.3 billion dollars, a 7.4% increase over the corresponding period of previous year, according to Rosstat, on Friday.

In the first quarter of 2012 in the Russian economy received 36.5 billion dollars of foreign investment, which is 17.6% less than in the first quarter of 2011, ITAR-TASS reported.

Cyprus leader in terms of investment in the Russian economy with the index at the end of March in the amount of 68.991 billion dollars. This is followed by the Netherlands - 51.133 billion dollars, Luxembourg, 36.979 billion dollars, China - 27.467 billion dollars, Germany - 24.695 billion dollars, United Kingdom - 24.244 billion dollars, Ireland - 11,895,000,000 dollars, British Virgin Islands - 10.647 billion dollars, Japan - 9.870 billion , USA - 7.692 billion dollars.
At the same time the volume of Russian investments accumulated abroad, at the end of March 2012 amounted to 106.8 billion dollars. In the first quarter of 2012 from Russia abroad sent 31.7 billion dollars in investments, or 8.1% more than in the first quarter of 2011.

Most of Russia invested in the Netherlands - 28.213 billion dollars, Cyprus - 23.073 billion dollars, Switzerland - 8.090, USA - 7.892 billion dollars, Luxembourg - 5.925 billion dollars, Belarus - 5.746 billion dollars.
