(Nightmare? Pay) for unnecessary and improper testing business officials will be fined

In the State Duma on November 9, legislation was introduced amendments to the Code of Administrative Violations, which involves the introduction of fines for improper testing of small and medium-sized businesses, the newspaper "Vedomosti". Amendments may be considered part of the authorities plan to remove administrative barriers to business: in July 2008, the President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev urged government officials to stop "a nightmare" business.

The bill states that for the wrong reason for testing, delays in the notification, as well as the lack of necessary documents to officials will have to pay three to five thousand. In the case of repeated violation the fine can grow to 10-20 thousand rubles, said Kommersant.

In April 2009, Dmitry Medvedev signed a law stipulating that a May 1, 2009 limited the total number of audits of small businesses. In particular, the duration of the test should not exceed 50 hours per year for small businesses and 15 hours per year for micro-enterprises. It was planned that these restrictions will come into effect in July, but then they decided to introduce two months earlier.
